Feeding a future: CRS Guideline Plan

Feeding a future
linea

Community development

A commitment to the community in which the activities are developed.

The individual programmes arise in response to the obligation assumed by the organisation to make a positive social and environmental contribution to the progress of neighbourhood communities and to provide them with the capabilities of the Group in cases of emergency.

  • Linking the activities to which we are committed with the communities in which they are performed.
  • Development of the program of food aid.

Innovation

The development of the ability to innovate and to operate in markets whose size and demands are continuously increasing, starting from the defining principles of the Mediterranean diet.

The individual programmes stem from the need to apply the organisation’s innovative ability in developing healthful product lines based on the values of the Mediterranean diet and in designing and improving industrial processes in accordance with the tenets of sustainability.

  • The development of new, healthy foods for specific purposes.
  • The improvement of processes which optimize production and reduce consumption and environmental impact.
  • A study of ways to minimize the impact of products in their life-cycles.

Positioning on emerging issues

A commitment to working on those subjects, related to nutrition and sustainable development, which are of concern to public opinion.

In this area what must be applied is a model capable of adapting itself to the analyses and understanding of external events as they unfold, one that not only allows but prompts the Group to see both the threats and the opportunities as they emerge and to develop in both cases the appropriate response.

  • Attending to those matters arising from directives and standards issued by public administrations.

Integrity and transparency

Transforming the Organization into a sector reference in corporate governance practices.

The guideline plan Feeding a Future has as one of its priorities that of establishing a leadership position in integrity and reporting transparency. Its programmes are in response to the requirement of establishing policies that determine and clarify the behaviour expected of people who form part of the Group’s business project and to adapt this to the Group’s standards and values.

  • Formalization of the Organization’s commitments in the matter of corporate governance.
  • Review of the framework of integrity.
  • Adaptation of our reports to the new demands.
  • Encouragement of dialogue with institutional investors who value the best practices in sustainability and corporate responsibility.
