What is Oleosan?

Oleosan is a high oleic natural oil resulting from the combination of different types of natural seeds. Its nutritional profile makes it possible to refer to it as a healthy oil, the properties and characteristics of which have been submitted to the analysis of the Superior Council of Scientific Research (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC).

Oleosan represents one more step in Grupo SOS's research and commitment to quality in nutrition. Different studies have been carried out since it was discovered up to the present, studies that validate its composition and characteristics as well as its optimal nutritional profile and its stability against oxidation and spoilage – all these advantages, coupled with a better flavour.

Benefits

Oleosan presents a balanced composition in fatty acids – rich in monounsaturates and low in saturates – that exceeds the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the use of fats in food products.

Oleosan’s oleic acid exerts a beneficial influence on the heart and blood vessels, since it increases the so-called “good cholesterol” (c-HDL), contributing towards reducing the risk of coronary diseases. Moreover, its high Vitamin E content prevents cell oxidation.
