In a clear bid to offer something genuinely different, the company was first set up in Algemesí, in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia. It had soon earned itself a name throughout the eastern seaboard and began distribution nationwide, happy to experiment with such revolutionary changes as packaging rice in individual paper bags or, some time later, experiment with pre-prepared rice dishes. Today it is present in all market segments and in more than 30 countries.
